K-SAA MLA 2025

The K-SAA's Annual Reception and Awards Dinner was a magnificent celebration at the MLA Convention in New Orleans. All festivities took place at the beautiful Le Pavillon Hotel on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

The evening included honoring our distinguished scholars—Judith Pascoe and Kelvin Everest—as well as announcing our Pforzheimer Grant winners—Sarah Burdett and Elizabeth Weybright—and the K-SAA Essay Prize winner, Anastasia Eccles.

With both familiar and new faces, including many graduate students, several contingent faculty members, and scholars and teachers of various periods beyond the Romantic era, the evening set an incredibly high bar for our coming gathering, which is set to take place in Toronto in January 2026.
