K-SAA Members’ Meeting- May 11th, 3-5 PM EST

The K-SAA Members’ Meeting is held annually in May as a spring celebration and is open to members and non-members alike. It is a chance to spend time with the directors and communications team, learn about K-SAA initiatives and public outreach, hear from exciting speakers, and participate in a book raffle!

This year we are delighted to host a talk by Dr. Camila Oliveira, postdoctoral assistant at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her talk is entitled “‘Music when soft voices live’: Shelley’s reception in contemporary music.”

Dr. Oliveira holds a PhD in English Literature from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and King’s College London, having completed a dissertation on the Portuguese translation of William Blake’s Jerusalem: The Emanation of the Giant of Albion. Her current topics of study are Romanticism and music reception, whose connections she is exploring within her monograph project William Blake and Contemporary Music.
