Caption Competition Winner Announced!

Thank you to all who took part in our Annual Postcard Caption Competition! Our question for this year was:

What would Percy Shelley write as a defense of poetry for today's world?

      We were delighted to receive so many excellent entries covering a wide range of different topics. With so many captions to choose from, we decided to select a winner and acknowledge two runners-up as well.Winner:Dana Moss: "To write poetry is to call to attention. Our poets must be the preservers of our natural world, because we know now it cannot last forever".Runners-up:Clay F. Johnson: "Without poetry, truth & beauty go blind from looking for darkness by staring at the sun".Ian Reynolds: "Read, speak, learn, and share. Through poetry accept that whilst beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it also exists in the mind".

Our winner will have the choice of receiving a one-year K-SAA membership (including a one-year subscription to the Keats-Shelley JournalOR a ticket to the Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 11th, 2020.

The winning entry will be featured on the front of our Shelley postcards with a “captioned by” credit. These postcards will be distributed at upcoming conferences and #Romantics200 events.
