  • Application Deadline: November 1, 2024 (for the 2025 award cycle)

Research Focus and Priorities

The K-SAA welcomes proposals for projects related to Romantic-era literature and culture, and we especially encourage proposals for projects which expand traditional definitions of the field and its futures; particularly those engaging race, empire, gender, class, and/or global Romanticisms. While projects need not be author-specific or centered on Keats and the Shelleys, the Association encourages submissions that expand traditional definitions of the field. Preference is given to projects involving subjects featured in The Keats-Shelley Journal, K-SAA’s annual publication.

Previous Grant Impact

Past recipients have utilized this funding to conduct archival research in diverse locations, including Ghana, Jamaica, Spain, and the United Kingdom. These grants have facilitated significant contributions to our understanding of the Romantic era and its global connections.
